EADTrust-en-COP25The processes digitalization is a line of action that directly impacts on the reduction of CO2 emissions, on the efficiency and effectiveness of economic transactions and on the inclusion of citizens residing in remote regions to be part of global economy and within their own countries.

European Agency of Digital Trust has presented at the COP-25 summit a set of digitization initiatives that solve several technological and legal challenges associated with citizens identity  and that are simultaneously compatible with the European legislative framework (Regulation EU 910/2014) and with most national laws.

The proposed services focused on improving the quality of identity in remote contracting, either through a vocal biometric signature, graphometric signature systems, video identification and electronic signature or its subsequent management such as the certified digitization of existing paper documents or the electronic document custody and records management.

These services constitute, in themselves, pillars of citizens inclusion in disadvantaged regions, guaranteeing them a trustworthy digital identity and with it, access to other services (such as banking, insurance or government transactions) using existing infrastructure and improving their legal security.

By their very nature, they reduce the number of trips required to complete a bureaucratic contract or governement transaction and greatly simplify the subsequent management of these documents, which are already born electronic and do not require paper as information media.
